misty effects

14th June 2016, Newton Point, 3pm

It was a sunny day as we walked up the path...


...but from the top of the wee hill I could see that the sea fret was rolling in and out like waves on the beach..  Already Embleton Bay was full and only the towers of Dunstanburgh Castle were visible above the mist.

I had a fantastic view of this rare phenomenon and all too soon the fret rolled in finally blanketing the whole coast in  a chilly mist.
