It's bluebell season.  There were carpets of flowers in the woods but I liked this single plant catching the sun.

There's not been any rain for a while and the Coquet is running low.

the journey

 18th April 25, Buston, 6am

To the beach with a camera at 6am this morning. Too late for sunrise but the rest of 'golden hour' looked promising. 

By the time I'd cycled down the sun had gone up into the clouds but there was plenty of golden light and delicate patterns in the sky. 

 The beautiful light across the sea merited its own photograph.

On the way back up the old mine railway.  Sometimes the journey is more than the destination

A lovely run in the middle of a fine spell of blue sky weather.
