warm later

 2nd June 2023, Buston, 7am

A beautiful morning for a blast down to the beach.  Nice and cool but looks warm later...

After much sunny warm weather June arrives under chilly grey skies

passers-by

 23rd May 2023, Buston, 8am

A cycle down to the beach.

The sand was just firm enough to cycle along for a bit but it's a tiring way to travel!

The fishing boat was on his way to the Aln estuary to net for salmon and/or sea trout.

on the quiet island

 18th May 23, Holy Island, 9am

Nice and quiet on the island this early.  I quite like the 'look' of this photograph that was snapped through my windscreen.

Down on the W beach looking to St Cuthbert's Isle.  No wind, no waves.  Just song birds on the island and seals signing out on the sands.

Looking to the Farne Islands.  The sand bank in the middle is covered in seals.

I found a quiet spot covered in wild flowers and I lay down on the grass with my camera.  It was warm as toast in the sun and my peace was only disturbed by the occasional snort of a seal taking a breath as they swam by.

Sometimes photography takes you to very beautiful places and leaves you with very happy memories.

no sun, sun

 25th April 2023, Warkworth, 8am

A few days of easterly winds have stirred up the sea into beautiful waves.

Patterns of wood and stone before and after the sun came out

patterns and sunshine

 20th April 2023, Skaith, 9am

The skaith itself is quite dry just now and not very pretty but the outflow stream was full of patterns and sunshine.

The gorse is glorious.

on two wheels

19th April 23, Buston, 3pm

The first time for ages on the mountain bike down the path I first used 3 years ago during lockdown.

It was good to whizz past the fragrant gorse in full bloom.

The very tide didn't bother me as I sat on the dunes for a while then headed back up the hill home.
