12th January 2019, Budle Bay, 14:30
A busy Saturday and we headed N of Bamburgh to Budle Bay as the sun sank and threw its golden light out over the windy landscape.
I had no expectations of what photographs I would get - or if I would find any, but I always hope there will be something unexpected that catches my eye.
We walked past the happy but tired windsurfers and up to the WW2 coastal battery which framed the view nicely.
The view NE to Lindisfarne framed from the window of Budle bay coastal battery - This was the site of a WW2 heavy artillery gun. (I believe it was a 25 pdr if you're asking!)
