Even at 6:30 there were a few dog walkers about so Daisy and Bess were confined to the lead for a while. The ensuing tangles and bickering isn't very conducive to a relaxing walk but eventually we found an empty stretch of beach and they raced off to disturb the calm sea with some happy splashing about.
