just grey?

A sundog (or parahelion) above the castle this morning. It lasted just a few moments while the atmospheric conditions and light combined to create it.

At first it just looked grey for today's PhotoTrail. I was with a lovely couple keen to learn more about photography for their impending retirement (sounds good to me!)

But then you spend a bit of time out and about and you watch the weather and the light changing on the land and sea.

You start to see that the sky is more than just grey and that there are patterns everywhere.

Then you start to find photographs all around you.

A stiff breeze on the beach today and definite autumn colours in the ferns as they blew about in the wind.

Back in May the hawthorn blossom was incredible. Now that has translated into a goodly crop of berries...
