21st September 2016, Embleton Bay, 6:55am
I'd resigned myself to there being not much of a sunrise this morning due to a bank of thick cloud at the Eastern horizon.
This is 6:55 when the sun was due to rise.
It's always worth hanging about to see what develops though. Suddenly the sun found a gap in the clouds and lit up all the herring bone clouds higher in the sky.
5 minutes later all was grey again.
