There's a colony of rare terns (Little Terns) that nest on the shore in the middle of Beadnell Bay. The NTS have a Warden's hut which is occupied during the nesting season and otherwise sits out in all the winter weathers that the sea can throw at it.
It has a lovely weathered appearance and gives shelter to a few other creatures too.
Sun 9th November, Beadnell Bay, 9am weather bright, cold, about to pour down!
These trails are made by the local horses that exercise on the beach of a morning.
