BlueBell Woods

16th May12, Doxford, 3pm

The woods up this way are renowned locally for bluebells. Here's why...

bright but not early enough

12th May12, Low Newton 5:30 am

Early, but not early enough for sunrise. Still, it was well worth it. We passed one other chap around 6am who stomped past not saying a word - he looked annoyed that his solitude was disturbed.

bonny barnacles

11th May12, Howick Shore, 8am

The gorse is quite stunning - it's warm yellow clambering over hillsides and crags. Beautiful up close too.

11th May12, Seahouses, 4pm

A lovely bright afternoon - Daisy enjoyed a runabout with Stan the lurcher and they both came back with tongues lolling and grazes on their knees. Lurchers are too fast for their own good sometimes.

We pottered among the rocks and admired the patterns.

Back to Blue

9th May12, Newton Point, 8am

A fine morning with blue skies all around and it'll probably warm up soon (although there was ice on the car roof this morning)

Beadnell Bay and Football Hole from the top of the wee crag.

Daisy looking in earnest to see from which direction the next bit of fun will come.

Back home again

7th May12, newton Links, 7am

It's nice to be away but always nice to come home to the old, familiar beauty of my favourite beach.

Daisy was very pleased that we were home too and actually hung out with me on the sand rather than running off to the long grass for a sniff and a hunt.

wet feet

3rd May12, Embleton Bay, 9:30am

A grey morning for the Taster Course this morning but Rita & Hilary joined me and seemed to enjoy themselves

I've applied a green filter to this shot to bring out the yellow lichen in black & white.

Sand has blown over the rocks filling every crevice and crack. The resulting patterns reminded me of Mayan patterns somehow.

Wellies are useful for getting in close for those wave shots!

quite pleasant

1st May12, Newton Links, 8am

A very pleasant morning walking up the beach and back down the beach. Peaceful, quiet, 10 degC so quite pleasant all things considered.
