6th Dec 24, Embleton Bay, 8am
I ran from Low Newton and arrived at The Skaith just as the sun came over the horizon.
I'm often asked what camera I use for my landscape photographs. I seem to always be in a hurry so these days I use the phone quite often on the basis that "the best camera in the world is the one you have with you".Generally I use compact cameras (I have Canon G series) because they are decent quality but very portable. I also like to zoom in and my phone just doesn't cut it except for standard or wide angle shots.
This morning I carried a small Sony compact which is light enough to have in my pocket when I'm running and it was nice to be able to zoom in on the sunrise.
