Out Of Lockdown

8th June 2020, Shilbottle to Howick, 11am

It's National Bike Week (apparently) so I thought I'd pedal up the coast a bit.

I started off in chilly cloud but it brightened up nicely.  You can see Dunstanburgh Castle off in the distance (above the bike).

Howick Bay is one of my favourite places in the world.

On the way back through Boulmer I spied this couple sitting under the NHS flag.  It's a photo very much of our times.

When I spoke to them he said it was their first day out of lockdown.  How nice it must have been to sit together watching the sea with the sun on their faces.

8th June 2020, Alnmouth, 4pm

Daisy's paw was working well enough to dig a good sized hole!
