Two ends of a windy day

1st Feb 2018, Embleton Bay, 8am

A fierce 40 mph wind but the sea is still calm just now and the old walls of the castle have seen it all before.


1st Feb 2018, Newton Point, 4pm

The last light of the sun was illuminating the gulls as they flew high above a sea now rough with the relentless storm.


After sunset the sky blazed gloriously but briefly.  The colours had faded within a few minutes
