bits of trees

17th Nov12, Howick, 4pm

Daisy gives me the eye - her multipurpose fur coat is ready for a walk. She looks disparaging and impatient as I put on trousers, boots, jackets, gloves, hat, get the phone, get the keys, get the headphones, get the camera, get poop bags and treats...

Eventually I'm ready and we head for Howick as the spring tides have stolen the beach for now. At Howick burn the trees come down to the beach and it's just a nice balance of landscape and seascape for me.

Howick gardens are now closed which means they're open (!) so we walked up The Long Walk past my favourite Scot's Pine - so tall it was catching the last sun while the valley was in deepening shadow.

Autumn definitely arrived in Northumberlnd - and in your mind, Andy.
By the way: wave your hand during the next stroll along your favourite beach! I stand on the other side of the North Sea currenty... :-)
Uwe.

Hi Andy! What beautiful photos. I love the sunlight on the Scots Pine. Hope Daisy enjoyed her walk after all that waiting. The look on her face is priceless!
