last day of 'summer'?

28th March12, Christon Bank, 7am

Out with Daisy through the woods as the sun made its first appearance behind the trees.

30th March12, Embleton Bay, 9am

So tomorrow the wind will turn to the North and it'll be cloudy and 8 degC. Nearly two weeks of Summer weather will come to an end.

For Lisa's training course we enjoyed a warm, bright day again.

Although were a good number of folk around, there's always time for quiet contemplation...

...or a bit of fishing.

hotchpotch

22nd March12, Embleton Bay, 9am

A beautiful day for our training course today. The forecast for the weekend and week ahead is blue, blue , blue!

24th March12, Long Nanny, 7:30

Northumbrian Sea Fret - a mist off the sea often a consequence of warm bright weather the day before.

24th March12, Christon Bank, 7pm

Diasy looks up from the floor of the pub...

25th March12, Ottercops Moss

A trip inland to visit these cup and ring marks which were well worth the trek across dried out bog and heather.

We had a break in the sun by an abandoned farm building

27th March12, Newton Links, 8am

Another beautiful day dawns. There's not a cloud in the sky, not a breath on the breeze, we could waste a whole day with the world at its ease.

Patterns in the sand

16th March12, Low Newton Dunes, 10am

Catkins are a beautiful sign of spring coming...

18th March12, Howick shore, 11am

Someone had been here before us balancing stones on the rocks. We tried to keep Daisy's inquisitive nose away from them!

19th March12, Newton Links, 8am

Footprints on the slimy shore

It was beautiful quiet morning with delicate light playing across the wet sand.

shake in the sun

14th March12, Newton Links, 3pm

Beautiful day out and about. Daisy had a lovely run with new friend Buffy the Beardie and then went to the sea for a cool off and a shake...

Far too nice a morning to lie in bed so it was up and out at 6:30. Beautiful light on Embleton Bay.

photography

9th March12, Craster/Howick, 9-12

It was sunny but very windy for Day 2 of Carolyn's training course and after getting blasted on the Craster shore we retreated to a haven under the sheltering cliffs of Howick.

10th March12, Football Hole, 7am

I was reading an article on "Lightstalking" (an excellent online photography magazine) and it inspired me to try a few more conventional landscapes today.

So Daisy and me were on the beach at the back of 7 and the light was beautiful...

As usual, Daisy managed to get into the photos whether invited or not. I bet this didn't happen to Ansel Adams!
