I wasn't planning a theme of 'curves' but not these photos definitely feature curves in their composition.

No curves here.  Half sky, half beach

For a while 

after sunrise today 

the colours lingered on 

As I wandered, they faded 

to blue skies and bright water 

 The sun’s shadows breathing life 

 into accidental patterns on the sand

Looking into the mouth of rumbling kern.

You wouldn't want to be standing here at high tide!

Autumn colours are coming along nicely now. I walked past this tree once without seeing a photograph. Then, on my way back, I went past again and spotted the colours shining brightly in the low sun.

Two beaches in a day

When I'm leading my Tuesday guided walks round Bamburgh, I often see tourists photographing the iconic red phone box and the wonderful Bamburgh Castle. So I thought I'd have a go myself. 

It's quite an anachronistic view; the phone box (a K6) being from 1930's or thereabouts and the keep being from 1164. 

The Bamburgh kiosk is now looked after by the local community.

A quick walk up Simonside with the sun rising behind us.

The wind on the summit ridge was invigorating - Not sure the dogs agreed!
