Down to the rocks with the sinking sun casting a low light across the shore. The first pattern I spotted was this pleasing abstract...

...but then I spotted a dancing figure and a dog. See what I mean?

light and shade

bright sun this morning but light and shade in the woods. These ivy leaves looked best in the shade...

...while the bright sun at the edge of the woods is what makes this picture.

No Beach

Daisy is still firmly on the lead and we're avoiding sand. Today we walked down to the edge of Embleton Bay but there was a spring high tide and no beach anyway.

Two Days With Clouds

9th Feb 2013, Long Nanny, Beadnell Bay, 3pm

We've not been up this way for ages due to the winter livestock but they're gone now and it was nice to be back. The sky was beautiful. Lots of sand piled up in the dunes by the strong wind.

10th Feb 2013, Newton Links, 8am

The beach was huge this morning (it must be a spring tide) and the big sky was reflected in all its splendour.
