what remains

 2nd November 2021, Boulmer, 7:30am

Late for sunrise again but still plenty to see.  It looked colder than it was.

This is baleen from a minke whale that's been rotting on the coast here for many months.  This is how whales feed by filtering sea water through these plates.

what to do..?

 1st November 2021, Alnmouth, 3pm

It was one of those days when the sky couldn't decide what to do...

light scattering

28th October 2021, Embleton Bay, 11am

I don't know how we managed to dodge the showers and heavier rain this morning but we did, and the sun even made a brief, spectacular appearance scattering silver light over the sea.

finding photos

 27th October 2021, Embleton Bay, 10am

Today's PhotoTrail was on a damp, grey unpromising day.

All the more reason to hunt down some interesting photographs...

how many dawns

 25th October 2021, Warkworth, 7:30am

Two different views of sunrise just by turning the camera around.

Me and Daisy have seen a lot of sunrises just the tow of us.  I wonder how many?

heart of the sunrise

 22nd October 2021, Alnmouth, 8am

If I'd been a couple of miles south the sunrise would have peeked out from the big black cloud.

As it was it wasn't a bad place to be.

The first image is a zoomed in view of the heart of the sunrise.

birthday poses

 20th October 2021, Warkworth, 8am

A nice morning for a walk on Henry's 3rd birthday.

He's been getting posing lessons from Daisy and is definitely getting better!
