 Today came in like January then eventually turned back to July. Very chilly in the N wind on the beach this morning with an angry sea.

And so the year rolls on and this is the first six-spot Burnet moth I've seen.  This time on tufted vetch.

The evening before the longest day and solstice.  Around 6pm all was calm and deep blue.

By 10pm, it was still broad daylight with a pinkish hue of twilight that will linger for a few hours yet.

Nice and early to the beach.  I'm not often here this early in the summer and I noticed the sun was well north of east after all, we're just 10 days from solstice.

Recent rainy day photography at Bamburgh Castle. 

Everyone heads for the state rooms to stay dry but then they take to the battlements to watch the showers disappear out over the sea.

In among the wild flowers of the Newton Point hay meadow for a 1:1 photo training session. Lovely to wile away some time with a camera and good company.

"Photography is about the fishing, not the catching" but sometimes you make a decent catch.
