People can add to a landscape. 

I think the people give the composition a focus and draw the eye into the photograph. They also bring a touch of life and narrative.

back on my feet

After the first 4pm finish of the season, it was nice to get back to running (in my new shoes) with a few Km's at Howick.

It was starting to get dark from the east but the sunset at the western horizon was lighting up the bathing house.

 

still autumn

For me, the clocks going back means getting up an hour earlier (as opposed to getting an hour more in bed which seems a more popular option!).

The autumn leaves have survived the recent storm and I'm looking forward to even more colours as colder weather bites.

Storm Amy has raged by but the temperature is still 16C so not many autumn colours in the trees yet.

One of my favourite things living here is the 30 min blast rattling downhill to the beach.  Then a healthy climb back up.
