A jaunt up Simonside with Henry in the cool of the evening
20th June 23, Shilbottle, 4pm
After a (much needed) day of rain it finally stopped enough to venture out. The poppies still had their heads hidden from the rain and the air was filled with the aroma of vegetation after rain or "petrichor" as it's known.
