what to photograph when the sun's out

19th August 2014, Embleton Bay, 9am

Cathy's PhotoWorkshop and we wandered around in the bright sun talking about photography and taking a few photographs...


The chilly NW wind was whipping the waves into a boiling froth of big breakers...


The wind had blown sand into the cracks in the rocks then blown the excess away leaving sharp patterns.



I took this picture first of the fern frond backlit by the sun...


...but on closer inspection we could see these capillary patterns in the fronds.  Very beautiful.
