A bright blue afternoon was heading towards sunset when a bank of thick freezing fog swept up and over the coast. 

The sun threw in the towel with a final golden glow as the mist swallowed the brightness.

As I drove up the road this morning I saw the sun and the colour of the sky and I decided I would see if this shot was possible. I was pleased that it worked out quite nicely. Soon this shot will not be possible. As we head into midwinter the sun no longer lines up with the windows of the castle tower. It'll return briefly in the spring.
