first sunrise for ages

23rd April 2022, Low Newton By The Sea, 6am

There's so much purity of nature and simple calmness in a sunrise that there is no need for much else in the photo.  Just the sky and ocean.

And then a pathway across the sea

Joins the sun to me.

Having said that, a bit of foreground does no harm!

then and now

 19th April 2022, Buston, 3pm

I first explored this route down to the beach 2 years ago in lockdown. Seven km down the hill to the beach and then 7km back up the hill home.

I suppose I’m free to go anywhere now but I still choose this…

time to spend

 18th April 2022, Embleton Bay, 8am

Spending a couple of hours wandering up and down the beach and dunes with a camera is very good for the soul. No hurry and lots to talk about with today's Northumberland Photo Training client.

Hats off to this guy!  He said he'd only done it cos he forgot to buy a card.

either or either

 14th April 2022, Coast

Two beach walks today - this view could be either.

13th April 2022, Felton, 12noon

A run through the woods.  Not unlike an obstacle course - quite fun!

water falls

 10th April 2022, Stag Rock, 11am

Sometimes the sea comes from a certain angle and the bigger waves fill a rock pool hidden on top of stag rock.  From there the water cascades down a waterfall until it runs out.

A few moments after the wave the trickle turns briefly into an impressive torrent.

temporary halt to spring

 1st April 2022, Shilbottle, 9am

Spring things wearing a coat of snow this morning.

It was gone in a few minutes when the warm sun came out.
