dodging the raindrops

 28th July 2021, Warkworth, 1pm

The path of my run down onto the beach

28th July 2021, Warkworth, 5pm

There were thunderstorms down by Newcastle and heavy showers up at Bamburgh but in between it was beautiful.

Rain to the north of me
thunder to the south
Here I am
Stuck in the middle with you

Daisy and I sat up on the dunes for a while.  We could have sat for ages but eventually got hungry.

rainy day blues

27th July 2021, Bamburgh, 9:30am

At 9:30 there were a few folk on the beach...

...but by 12 it was packed.

27th July 2021, Warkworth, 4pm

Daisy wasn't bothered about a long walk today and fell asleep while I watched the waves from a convenient rock.

28th July 2021, Alnmouth, 7am

A rainy day is on the way but the clouds are beautiful.

Monday, 26 July 2021

thus far and no further

 22nd July 2021, warkworth, 11am

While other dogs run around the beach looking for fun, Daisy prefers to sit and let the fun come to her…

23rd July, Longhorsley, 2pm

I couldn't resist stopping in the shady woods for a few minutes on a red hot day.

24th July 2021, Warkworth, 1pm

A beautiful day but high tide stopped us going beyond this point where you can normally step down onto the sand and continue up the beach.

Reading a book about King Canute perhaps...?

misty beach

 21st July 2021, Warkworth, 7am

Another misty morning.

Daisy was quite happy to lie around enjoying the peace and quiet

Tuesday, 20 July 2021

in the mist

 20th July 2021, Bamburgh, 9am

After a pretty start to the day I was heading to Bamburgh for a wedding when I saw Inner Farne sitting among the fret.

20th July 2021, Seahouses, 4pm

Much sunnier by 4pm and the colours around the harbour were vibrant.

in a quiet corner

19th July 2021, Craster, 11am

A guided walk along with quite a crowd of visitors now the school holidays have started.

There was one little quiet corner of serenity in the harbour where this wee boat was quietly staying away from everything that as going on.

Two days of swimming

 17th and 18th July 2021, Buston, 9am

The very hot weather continues which meant Daisy had a cool short walk then stayed home while we went to the beach.  The spaniels love to swim and even I was tempted in up to my middle at least!

combination

15th July 2021, at home, 5am

A glimpse of a lovely sunrise from my bedroom window.  Not getting up yet...

15th July 2021, Alnmouth, 7:30am

A beautiful combination of clouds, sun and sea gave a gorgeous morning light

grey and early

 14th July 2021, Embleton Bay, 7am

Up early.  More grey and early than bright and early but lovely to be back here again.

14th July, Boulmer, 7pm

A bonus evening cycle up the coast.

Tuesday, 13 July 2021

kipper wind

 13th July 2021, Warkworth, 12noon

It's the season for wild poppies in the cereal crops.  These ones have the advantage that they're accessible without entering the crop.

13th July2021. Boulmer, 4pm

A gorgeous afternoon but for a stiff breeze out of the north which brought a whiff of kippers down from Craster.

Sunday, 11 July 2021

beach walk

 11th July 2021, Buston, 9am

Just a weed...

Daisy had a nice time today...

misty isles

 9th July 2021, Bamburgh, 15:30

On my way to a wedding but the view over the misty sea to Inner Farne and Holy Island was too nice to ignore.
