Any hints of sunrise colour were quickly hidden by the next rain cloud. The result was a constantly changing view as we walked along.
On a changeable morning like today you can't take your eyes off the sky for a minute for fear of missing some passing dramatic light.
Sunrise was a non-event but eventually the sun appeared above the clouds and the seascape was transformed. The rolling waves that had been grey a few seconds before were backlit and the spray glowed in the morning sun.
Just a few minutes later and the next cloud rolled in and the sea returned to grey.
A new path on a lovely frosty morning. We walked for 6 km through autumn leaves while Daisy watched out for squirrels. There were plenty but sadly all grey.
