Our Caribbean seas

31st May 2015, Newton Point 5pm

Daisy camouflaged in the sand, watches the world go by as we watch the Little Terns fluttering like butterflies on the breeze.

Nose to the wind

Our caribbean seas

Happy dog on the sand

The hay meadow on Newton Point up close.  I could have stayed where I lay.  Out of the wind and nicely warm in the sun.  problem was I was in the middle of the path!

dodging showers

29th May 2015, Newton Point 5pm

We caught a window between the heavy showers.

The Newton Point hay meadow is coming along nicely...

30th May 2015, Embleton Bay, 7am

Embleton Bay.
Cloudless blue
above acres of sand dotted with dogs and their walkers

Still an icy wind though;
Summer's only in the lee
But we sit high
just watching
letting the wind cleanse the spirit

Photographing the millennium milepost on Route 1 for Sustrans. They need a report of the condition of each milepost before their anniversary next year. This one's in very good fettle...

calm and reflective

4th May 2015, Newton Links, 7am

It'll be a busy bank holiday I suspect looking at the weather this morning...

On the beach all was calm and reflective, but the sea was an ever-changing turmoil of beautiful waves backlit by the morning sun.

4th May 2015, Bewick Moor, 4pm

We went inland to avoid the bank-holiday beach crowds...

late start

2nd May 2015, Newton Point, 8am

After a couple of late nights at Rothbury Roots and at The Ship Inn (singing with Plumhall) it was a late start on the beach.

Time for a few random shots from around the beach and dunes.
