Behold The Chiton

An excellent warm evening's stroll on the beach watching the fishermen pull in their nets.

1st June09, Embleton Bay, 7pm

Behold the Chiton. A mollusc with interlocking scaly plates. This one, with a few mates, was in a rockpool and was a "first time seen" for us.

Fantastic photo of the chiton! I've been enjoying beholding it.
Beautiful rich colours and textures in the rock too. Somehow it reminds me of a medieval tapestry.
