Early's Worth It

18th April 2013, Beadnell Bay, 6pm

Wind has blown away the dry, loose sand from around the stones leaving each one perched on a pedestal. Every single, tiny stone for a hundred yards was like this

20th April 2013, Embleton Bay, 5:30 am

Up early but it was well worth it. I hope you agree!

This old tree root has been on the blog before when it was a mile S of here.  Just as picturesque in its new position.

It's the season for 'sea gooseberries' to be washed ashore.  Particularly beautiful in the morning sun.

Part of an old wreck I suspect.  Having walked by this on many low tides I finally managed to make a photograph from it.
