Wind has blown away the dry, loose sand from around the stones leaving each one perched on a pedestal. Every single, tiny stone for a hundred yards was like this

This old tree root has been on the blog before when it was a mile S of here. Just as picturesque in its new position.
It's the season for 'sea gooseberries' to be washed ashore. Particularly beautiful in the morning sun.
Part of an old wreck I suspect. Having walked by this on many low tides I finally managed to make a photograph from it.
