street life

1st Feb 2013, Embleton Bay, 8am

I had a few days in Glasgow this week.
In a city, even a generously green city like Glasgow, you can be in a place where there is nothing natural visible. Nothing growing, nothing living. Here are two examples...

Contrast this with our walk this morning back in Northumberland - surrounded by life and nature. In the first two photographs I have sought out scenes completely uninfluenced by man. In the 2nd two, there are signs of life but they are distant and unimportant.

"Completely uninfluenced by man" - do you mean Daisy? :)

Great contrasts. I love your gritty Glasgow shots.

Lol - A prescient comment considering what happened next... She spied something furry two fields away (see the narrowing eyes?) and a couple of mins after this shot she was off to investigate - down the dune, over the golf course, through 2 hedges and across a field of turnips.

Completely, as you say, uninfluenced by this man...

At least she came back (and this time no furries were harmed)

have a nice weekend Lynn xx

You are really far away from being a city slicker, aren't you?

;-)

Have a colourful, natural Sunday, Andy!
