12th April 23, Buston Links, 9am
I love it when a familiar corner suddenly catches the eye because of a special light or circumstance.
This tree opposite Alnmouth offered two photographs from the same location this morning.
One in black and white which seemed to best capture the boldness of the shapes and textures of the sand, water and shadows...
...and one in colour as the blue and gold shades in the water were important in this composition.
Gone but not without trace, last night’s storm has ruffled the sea’s feathers.
The sand has been left puckered by rain drops.
Pebbles have been elevated onto wind-sculpted plinths.
