on reflection

10th August 2021,  Howick, 7am

One of the rock-cut swimming pools around the Howick shore reflecting the sky.

Me and Daisy wandered for a couple of hours this morning but only covered a mile or two. When you take your time, you see things and have time to properly look at them. Even on familiar ground, you see things you have never noticed before. If you want to you can make photographs from them.

The way the gaps in the clouds let the light through with the brightness reflected on the calm sea.

The circular growth patterns of the lichen on the rocks of the shore

This mini arch in the sandstone eroded into an intricate tiny landscape perched high on the cliff.

10th August 2021, Alnmouth, 5pm

Daisy wasn't bothered about a walk so I cycled down to Alnmouth.  No rush hour hereabouts.
