"showery"

23rd November10, Embleton Bay, 3pm

"Showery" they said this morning. Well these were serious showers! At least, unlike this morning, we got a dry walk this afternoon.

The edge of a Big Shower passes a bit inland.

A bit of brief blue sky.

The next shower approaches out over the sea.

a winter seascape
as black as ink is the sky
we hurry homeward

Yesterday I drove to the very southern parts of South Germany with three collegues. Two from China, one from Southern India.

The Indian colleague never saw snow in his whole life. Yesterday he did! The very first time.

At an altitude of approx. 700 to 800 meters above sea level we had a pretty wonderful winter wonderland with a slight white cover of snow everywhere... ;-)

Of course we did a stop over in front of a forest to enjoy ourself in the snow for some minutes.

With a little luck you may take the first photos of a snowy beach for the winter season 2010/2011 as well, Andy!?!?

Regards from winter wonderland Germany, Uwe.

Great atmospheric photos! Black sky and blue sea foam, fantastic. I like your wee haiku, too!
