4th January 2008, Football Hole and Beadnell Bay, 2pm
Nature is red in tooth and claw but it's sad when a beautiful animal is killed by careless human activity. This seal had drowned having been caught in a fishing net. I'll spare the details but it must have suffered before it died which is sad.
Life goes on and the dull weather suddenly broke in the West casting a beautiful light on Beadnell and the dunes.
