cheer up!

The sun's shining again and the world looks like a more cheerful place...

6th December, 9am, Howick Coast

Most interesting thing of the day was this hut which is being constructed in an ancient style from natural materials (although there's some nylon string lying about....) A good effort by whoever's responsible. It looks like a birch wood frame and turf on top. I'm glad I saw it half finished.

This wee stonechat was chip-chipping away in the morning sun - a beautiful bird that's not afraid to come close (though not close enough for my wee camera to get a sharp picture).
