do not touch

 17th June, Howick, 9am

There was a heatwave widely predicted for today but in Northumberland it was cool and grey (which meant I could have a lovely long run).

 18th June, Longhorsley, 8am

I love the wild flowers on the managed areas of the coast but it’s nice to find orchids inland in a farmer’s grassy field.

Curlews are nesting hereabouts too and yellowhammers are singing from the hedges.

Sometimes all nature needs is to be left alone.
