The sky was beautiful in a featureless kind of a way. It all seemed very quiet and calm so we sat for a bit taking it all in.
My eyes were drawn down to the ferns. Some still uncoiling and fresh.
This fern is a bit older. It's in carboniferous sandstone so around 300 million years old.
A message in the rocks...
