Patterns in the sand

A grey day for Carolyn's training course but the sky started off with a beautiful patchwork of clouds above the castle.
We talked about tearing your eyes away from the obvious castle to photograph other things on the beach...
...and then we let our gaze fall back on the castle again. By now the sky was a featureless overcast...
