It was a toss up between the beach and the hills but the hills won this morning.

Springtime growth showed the very conspicuous unnatural planting in the conifers.

The pools of the salt marsh fill up at high tide.

Then my path led down to the beach

and a convenient driftwood seat - albeit a windy spot

before climbing back up to the shelter of the dunes.

Today started with dense fog which eventually lifted into a clear blue sky day.

In between times, the last wisps of mist clung here and there but revealed beautiful high clouds.

What a beautiful time of year this is hereabouts.

Nice day and a nice spot for a run up and down the coast.

I rested at the halfway point under a soundscape of wind and waves and birdsong.

A blissfully quiet morning with time for a coffee in the sunny dunes
