The puppy is now 10 weeks so another couple of weeks before she can join us on walks.
It was nice to be back to one of our favourite places while she slept off a playful morning.

Sunrise colours were shining across to the trees behind my house so I got the old shoes on and hurried round to the fields. Worth the wet feet (poor choice of shoes!).10th Nov 25, Morpeth, 8am
Lots of leaves are off the trees now but a sudden sunbeam shone through some splashes of colour.

What a beautiful autumn it is.
One of nature's simple pleasures and I can't get enough of it.
Even running in the rain is a pleasure when it's through autumn woodland.

People can add to a landscape.
I think the people give the composition a focus and draw the eye into the photograph. They also bring a touch of life and narrative.

After the first 4pm finish of the season, it was nice to get back to running (in my new shoes) with a few Km's at Howick.
It was starting to get dark from the east but the sunset at the western horizon was lighting up the bathing house.

For me, the clocks going back means getting up an hour earlier (as opposed to getting an hour more in bed which seems a more popular option!).
The autumn leaves have survived the recent storm and I'm looking forward to even more colours as colder weather bites.
