lace-like

 12th October 24, Warkworth, 10am

The sea like the lace of a Galway Shawl (thanks Gracie for the metaphor!)

finally I see the light

 10th November 24, Lucker, 9pm

Beautiful and humbling

The first proper view of aurora for me..  the colours were visible to the naked eye.  the red is rare and was extraordinarily vivid.

A very special time spent in the company of nature.

11th October 24, Shilbottle, 7:30am

From last night's aurora to a fine sunrise.  We live in a beautiful world.

Thursday 10 October 2024

lost in action

 10th October 2024, Buston, 7:30am

Three degrees this morning and the sunrise was lost to the low cloud on the horizon.

Geese were flying here and there as showers rolled in from the sea on a chilly breeze

It was good to be back after a few days in Lake District and then a nasty stomach bug that had laid me low.

turn right for sunrise

 4th Oct 24, Shilbottle, 7am

Glad I chose the fields for my walk this morning

time to go

3rd October 24, Warkworth, 4pm

Making the most of a sunny autumn day.

Time for a wander and a snooze in the dunes

Time to leave the beach to become the sea bed for a while as the high spring tide rolls in. Meanwhile the long shadows beckon me home…
